ANOINTING AND EUCHARISTIC FOR THE SICK AND PASTORAL VISITS TO HOMES:
PLEASE CONTACT THE PARISH OFFICE FOR ASSISTANCE

This Sacrament was instituted by Christ and is attested by Saint James:
“Is anyone among you sick? Let him call in the presbyters of the Church and let them pray over him and anoint him with oil in the name of the Lord” (James 5:14-15).

By the sacred Anointing of the Sick and the prayer of the priests, the whole Church commends those who are ill to the suffering and glorified Lord, that he may raise them up and save them. And indeed she exhorts them to contribute to the good of the People of God by freely uniting themselves to the Passion and death of Christ. Anointing of the Sick is a Sacrament, which gives spiritual and physical healing

The members of the community give physical and moral support to the sick who are strengthened in the hope of the risen Lord and give support to those who surround them.
The liturgy of the sacrament of the sick mutually empowers the community and the sick.
